Children's Ministry

Children are very important to us at St. Philips. Throughout the year, we will have many events where children can participate in various outreach activities.

Nursery (Birth- 3 years)

Our nursery is open during the 10 am service and staffed with loving adult caregivers.  All our caregivers have been background-checked and trained in safe practices.  The children return to the service at the Eucharist.

Sunday School for 4 years old and up

Every Sunday during the school year, at the 10 a.m. service, we offer an engaging Sunday School class for 4-year-olds to 5th graders, led by some of our Juniors and Seniors in High School. The children return to the service at the Eucharist.

Worship Bags in the church Narthex

If your child would prefer to stay with you during the service, we have canvas bags at the entrance of the church with a small coloring page reflecting on the Sunday lesson, silent manipulatives, and a stuffed animal. Please return them as you leave.

Each Advent, our Associate for Children, Youth, and Family Ministry writes prayers for that year's Lego City Advent Calendar. This year, that is set # 60436.  Each day, as a new mini figure or creation is made from the set, you can open that day’s prayer written by Randall Curtis and the staff of St. Philip’s church.
