Parish Life
Foyer Groups
These groups are intended to incorporate new and not-so-new parishioners into more personal relationships than the coffee hour alone can provide. Those interested in participating are assigned randomly to groups of 8 to 10 people who gather to share a meal together in each others’ homes. During the year the groups are rotated so that individuals may get to know more members of the congregation in a small group setting. The coordinator sets up the groups each new session and helps organize special group activities.
Pastoral Care
Parishioners have an opportunity to express their caring for each other in two ministries of support for our ill or senior members. Eucharistic Visitors bring the sacrament to the homebound and ill each week.
Education
Educational opportunities are available throughout the year, lead by clergy or lay leaders. Watch our newsletter for announcements.
Fellowship
Special Events
St. Philip’s enjoys traditional inter-generational activities that generally center on seasonal events of the church, including Advent Event, Children’s Christmas Pageant, and Easter Egg Hunt. Other activities are geared toward creating opportunities for fun and fellowship among the congregation. There are a wealth of opportunities available! Volunteers and coordinators are always needed. Please advise a member of the church staff if you are interested in coordinating any of our church events or have ideas for the same.
